Snippet Saturday – Author’s Choice – Enslave (Vampire Erotic Theatre Romance Series Book 4)
It’s time for Snippet Saturday! Each week has a theme or is author’s choice. This week the theme is Author’s Choice.
I decided to choose a snippet from the book Enslave, which is the fourth book in my popular Vampire Erotic Theatre romance series, this week. Hope you enjoy it!
A little background info… Varya, the heroine, is a succubus and she’s feeling a rather forbidden attraction to Andreu, a vampire. She’s just broken back into the theatre and has teleported into his room, where he’s sleeping, and she’s rather intent on getting a good look at the male who has captured her attention…
Varya raised her hand above him, holding it suspended a few inches away from his body, and willed the covers to follow it and slide down his bare body. The red satin slowly glided over his chest, revealing the hard slabs of his pectorals and his small nipples to her eyes, and then over the delicious ridges of his stomach. Even at rest, they were pronounced, clearly defined and screaming at her to lick them. That would be foolish. He would wake if she indulged such a desire.
She drew her hand down and the covers followed, flowing over the erotic dip of his navel and the V that told her gaze to keep going. She swept her tongue over her lips, every muscle tightening in anticipation. A dark thread of curls spread downwards over golden skin. Almost there. Her breath hitched in her throat. Excitement bubbled through her, a feeling she hadn’t experienced in what felt like forever. Almost. Her eyes darted forwards, too eager to wait for her hand to reach his groin.
Andreu grumbled and yanked the silk sheets back up before she could catch even a glimpse, covering all of his body and stealing it from her hungry eyes.
Varya pouted.
She brought her hand back up to the start of the covers and focused again, her hand hovering above his body. She willed the covers to follow and moved her hand.

WIP Wednesday – Her Wicked Angel (Her Angel Romance Series Book 6) with Sneak Peek!
Since I don’t have a cover for the next Her Angel romance series book, HER WICKED ANGEL, and won’t have one for a while, I’m sticking with using one of my warning signs. I did make this one with Asmodeus in mind.
I’ve had a rough time with this book so far because the release of Unleash meant that I had a lot on my plate to do for that and it was really putting me off writing. Thankfully, I seem to have found my writing flow with this story again, and although it has been fits and starts today, I have managed to get the book up to 41500, increasing it by around 5000 words. That’s not too bad when I’ve been struggling to write these past couple of weeks.
I’m on a deadline with this book now. A serious one. I have to get it done in first draft by 5th June, and then have some very tight turnaround times on editing and proofreading in order to get it ready for release. I want this book to come out in September, but can’t make any promises right now. It’s tricky. I’m still not sure what my other release will be this year. It all depends on my muse. If he’s feeling up for it, I’ll write the next Vampires Realm book. If he wants me to write something else, well, I can only really do as he wants. At the moment, he’s leaning towards getting the first three Eternal Mates books written.
At least for now, Asmodeus is playing nice and we’re moving on his book again. He’s a rather wicked fellow, as you might imagine from what we’ve seen of him in Her Demonic Angel, and this morning I shared a snippet of one of my favourite scenes in the book on Facebook. I promised to post a larger snippet of that same scene here at my blog, so…
Here’s a teaser from the book so far… all first draft because I’m only just writing it so forgive any errors…
Teaseday – Unleash (Vampire Erotic Theatre Romance Series Book 6) Teaser Excerpt
Today’s tease comes from the book Unleash, which is the sixth book in my popular Vampire Erotic Theatre romance series which came out on May 18th.
Snow veered right, heading for the ebony chest of drawers that lined the black wall there next to his elegant wardrobe. He pulled out one of the smaller drawers at the top, fished a fresh pair of black boxers out, and shut it again. Someone spoke in the hall. Snow paused and listened. Callum was talking to Payne as they walked along the hall towards Callum’s apartment beyond Snow’s one. Discussing children.
Payne had taken responsibility for the witch’s youngling? Snow had never pictured the young vampire as a father. He had always imagined him to be more of a bachelor forever type because of his incubus blood.
Was everyone going to settle down and produce offspring now?
Snow tugged his boxer shorts on. They were all going to leave him behind. Everyone had a female now, something warm and tender in their lives. They were complete.
Where did that leave Snow?

Snippet Saturday – Woman to Love – Snow’s first glimpse of Aurora
It’s time for Snippet Saturday! Each week has a theme or is author’s choice. This week the theme is Woman to Love – Hero’s first glimpse of heroine.

WIP Wednesday – How does a wicked angel kiss? Just like this… sneak peek!
Since I don’t have a cover for the next Her Angel romance series book, HER WICKED ANGEL, and won’t have one for a while, I’m sticking with using one of my warning signs. I did make this one with Asmodeus in mind.
I ended last week on 17000 of this book written in first draft. So far this week, I’ve bumped that up to 36550 words. It was nice breaking the 30,000 word mark, which should be around 1/3 of the book. It’s slow going with this one. I’m building my focus but I’m easily distracted at the moment and not working at my normal speed because I have less outlined for this book so I have to write and think a lot at the same time. That really slows me down. I think there’s something else holding me back too, and maybe that’s a sense that this one won’t be as good as Her Demonic Angel. It’s going to be hard to top that one. I’m think it might be as good as Her Guardian Angel. I wish I had time before I write these books to read over the series. It sucks that I don’t get that sort of luxury. My schedule is just too demanding.
I don’t think it’s a lack of pace or tension that’s making writing this one feel as though it’s dragging. We’ve had a few altercations and fights in the book already, and stuff is happening, and Asmodeus and Liora are growing closer. I just left them on the verge of doing the nasty for the first time, which should definitely be an interesting scene to write.
I’m really not sure what’s slowing me down. I want to stick with saying that it’s the thin outline I have for this one, but my muse is saying that it’s something else. Something more. It’s all stuff that I will fix in the second draft, layering in the details and boosting the drama, but it still leaves me feeling concerned. I think it’s really that feeling of concern about this book that is probably slowing me down. I’m feeling a bit on edge, a bit like my writing sucks right now, and a bit drained and up against it because I’m behind my deadlines, and that makes me doubt the book. Ah, I’ve not missed that feeling. I’ve had it with Unleash, and with Her Demonic Angel, and with other books. The more I write, and the more readers love the books, the more pressure I feel. I need to get used to it and get over it, and then get on with it.
The stupid thing is, I’m sure when I read this book over, I’ll think it’s fine and wonder what the heck I was worried about. It has big drama, big tension, big emotion, and a bad-ass hero and bitching heroine, and what I’ve read back so far is perfectly good.
Why don’t I let you be the judge of it and share a snippet?
Here’s a teaser from the book so far… all first draft because I’m only just writing it so forgive any errors…
