It’s time for WIP Wednesday again. I missed the last few but I didn’t really have anything new to report.

As you all know, I’m working on the next FOUR books in the Eternal Mates romance series. I know that I’ve had a few readers see me talking about Taken by a Dragon and that it’s book 7 in the series and go – WTH? Have I missed some books?

No, you haven’t. I’m just writing FOUR in one go and they’ll all be released very close together between January and March 2015. You guys seem quite addicted to reading this series, and I’m addicted to writing it, so I figured we could both get a nice big fix!

The edit of Hunted by a Jaguar (Eternal Mates #4) is done and so is the edit of Craved by an Alpha (Eternal Mates #5). Both of them are waiting for their final proofread and then they’ll be ready for their release in January 2015!

Bitten by a Hellcat (Eternal Mates #6) is on hold, sitting there patiently while I write the first draft of Taken by a Dragon (Eternal Mates #7).

Taken by a Dragon catches up with, Loke, that naughty blue dragon shifter from near the end of Claimed by a Demon King and the huntress he kidnapped, Anais.

I’m around 30,500 words into writing the first draft of this novel, and there’s probably another 60,000-70,000 words to go before I type “The End”. So far, Anais has given Loke hell and she’s also gotten him and herself into a spot of trouble. Their roller coaster romance isn’t going to end there though. I feel there’s more trouble ahead for these two.

I’m hoping to have this book finished in first draft by the time I head off on vacation at the end of November. When I return to work in December, I’ll edit Bitten by a Hellcat and this book, and prep Hunted by a Jaguar for release.

It’s time for WIP Wednesday again and once again I asked my fantastic followers on my Facebook fan page which book they wanted a snippet from. It was a close call, but they chose Hunted by a Jaguar.

As you all know, I’m working on the next FOUR books in the Eternal Mates romance series.

This week, I completed the edit of Hunted by a Jaguar. Kyter and Iolanthe’s book grew by around 8000 words during the edit, bringing it up to around the 98500 words mark. That’s around the same length as the first book in the series, Kissed by a Dark Prince. Hunted by a Jaguar will now rest while I move on to editing other books and then I will proofread it a few times before it’s ready for release in January 2015. I really think you’ll all love this one. It’s packed with emotion, heat, and high stakes drama!

Now that I’m done with the edit of Hunted by a Jaguar, I can move on to editing Craved by an Alpha, which will be book 5 in the series. While I’m editing that book, I will also be planning book 7, which is Taken by a Dragon.

I’m hoping to begin writing Taken by a Dragon at the start of November. This novel catches up with that naughty dragon shifter from near the end of Claimed by a Demon King and the huntress he kidnapped. Loke won’t be the only dragon shifter to feature as one side of a couple in the series. I’m really looking forward to writing Taken by a Dragon now that I’ve had a break from writing and have been editing and reading.

I’m almost managing to get back on track with making these posts a weekly occurance!

I now have the next THREE books in the Eternal Mates romance series completed in first draft. That’s Hunted by a Jaguar, Craved by an Alpha and Bitten by a Hellcat. I’m still debating the release order for Craved by an Alpha and Bitten by a Hellcat. I might switch them back to how they were originally, with Bitten by a Hellcat as book #5 and Craved by an Alpha as book #6, as there is some cross-over with Bitten by a Hellcat and Hunted by a Jaguar.

I’ve now read through the first draft for Hunted by a Jaguar and for Craved by an Alpha on paper and I’m pretty happy with both of them. Hunted by a Jaguar is going to rock your world. It’s harder to achieve that in a novella, which Craved by an Alpha and Bitten by a Hellcat both are, but I’m going to work hard on both of those novellas to give them the same spark / heat that you expect from this series.

While I edit Hunted by a Jaguar, which will be the next release in the series, I will be thinking about Taken by a Dragon, which is going to be #7 in the series and is novel length. I hope to get writing the first draft of that book soon.

If you’re a Bleu fan, rejoice! He’s in Hunted by a Jaguar for quite a bit of page time, and he also makes an appearance in Bitten by a Hellcat. Before you ask, yes, he is getting his own book. No set number in the series for it yet. I have to think about how things are going to pan out after #7 and who needs their books written… which would be Bleu, Lord Van der Garde, Fenix, and a few other heroes you’re yet to meet. Kyal isn’t included in the list because he gets his own spin-off series.

The plan as it stands is that I will release these four books in the Eternal Mates romance series close together, only a few weeks between each release. The current release plan for the books is for them to go in this order:

Jan 10th – Hunted by a Jaguar
Jan 31st – Craved by an Alpha
Feb 21st – Bitten by a Hellcat
Mar 14th – Taken by a Dragon

There’s a chance I will switch Craved by an Alpha and Bitten by a Hellcat around, and also a chance I might change the dates to move the books closer together.

I missed last week, but I’m back this week with an update on what book I’m working on.

Having completed the first drafts of the next two books in the Eternal Mates romance series, I set about planning the book that follows them last week. That’s the book that will be #6 in the series, and its title is Bitten by a Hellcat.

Bitten by a Hellcat kicks off around the same time as Hunted by a Jaguar, and begins in Underworld, which is Kyter’s bar. The hero of the book is Owen, who is a very legendary hunter but he doesn’t work with Archangel, and the heroine is Cait, who is a shifter.

I’ve just completed the first draft of this book, and it’s around 45000 words, which is good for a novella. That’s around half the length of the novels in the series.

Next up, I’m planning and then writing book 7 in the series, which will be Taken by a Dragon. I’ll also be editing Hunted by a Jaguar and Craved by an Alpha and getting them ready for release.

The plan as it stands is that I will release these four books in the Eternal Mates romance series close together, only a few weeks between each release. The current release plan for the books is for them to go in this order:
