I’m very excited at the moment because I’ve just booked the flights for a holiday I’m taking with my husband in June. We’re going to Australia, via Shanghai on the way there and Tokyo on the way back. Yes, I’m always going to Tokyo, I know. There’s a reason I speak Japanese!
I placed an order back on New Year’s Eve for a paperback version of Seventh Circle as I’m going to get it done with distribution on Lulu, and it only just came today, and probably because I complained about it. I had to mail them twice in the end about it as it had been sitting there in “fulfilling” mode since I ordered it, and that was three weeks ago. Two mails later and I actually received a reply telling me it was all sorted now and they’d sent it to me.
I came home tonight and there was not one but two copies of it sitting on my doormat! Oh well, two copies of my book for the price of one. I can’t really complain about that, but it would’ve been nice to have it a week or so ago since it will take ages to get into Amazon once I’ve approved it.
Speaking of Amazon, their Kindle publishing arm now accepts non-US authors, which means I can finally create and sell Kindle books on Amazon. Praise be. I was getting rather miffed about the fact that I couldn’t sell my books as Kindle editions considering that I can sell them to the entire world on most other sites. I even joined Smashwords to get into Amazon Kindle and other major distribution sites. I’ve opted out of the Amazon option there now and I’m going to produce my own Kindle editions. That’s another thing to consume my time.
I did a second draft on my next three A Day in the Life series stories today. Going well. I’ve planned another two as well, which leaves three more to plan, and then I’ll have to write those five.
That’s all for now…
