Snippet Saturday – Bewitch (Vampire Erotic Theatre Romance Series Book 5) – Excerpt
Snippet Saturday is brought to you today by my paranormal romance book Bewitch, which is the fifth book in my popular Vampire Erotic Theatre romance series. Read on for this Saturday’s snippet…
“One night.â€
Those two words leaving Payne’s lips shocked Elissa. She didn’t feel as though she had won. It was offered grudgingly. Still, a single night of pleasure with Payne. It excited her but scared her too. She wasn’t sure where to begin or what he would expect from her, or whether she really could help him accept his incubus side so they could discover where the rest of his kind lived.
When she had suggested he submit to her, she had done so because she had figured that she needed to do something dramatic in order to push him over the edge and force him to give in to his needs. It had worked. Now what was she meant to do?
She had asked him to submit to her. She had never done anything like this before. She had never experienced being with a male as strong as Payne was. She’d had mortal males in her lifetime, but nothing that had lasted, and she had never been with a demonic breed of fae because certain aspects of them were forbidden. What was he going to say about that when she told him?
What if he was too powerful for her?
Her heart told her to give up this foolish venture before it ended in tears and disaster, but she couldn’t ignore her intense attraction to him or the need that shot through her whenever she looked at him.
Payne excited her. He was forbidden fruit and she was desperate for a taste. She knew that with him she would be pushing the boundaries and dancing with danger. It thrilled her and she couldn’t help wanting it. She ached to know a demon’s touch.
Payne’s touch. Continue reading

“Your bed is strange.†Her voice was melodic and light, a sound that curled around him and soothed his ears but not his bloodlust. That worsened, as though it despised her presence. She played havoc with it, and with him, and he was haemorrhaging patience. She pointed to the thick steel bars at the corners of his bed and the cuffs attached to them. “You have strange tastes. Why?â€
Her gaze lit upon him, bright and curious, and Snow had the feeling that she was testing him for some infernal reason.
He could ignore questions too. “What do you want?â€
She walked in a shallow circle, those curious eyes flickering around everything, cataloguing it and then coming back to take every inch of him in.
“I want nothing,†she said and drifted across the room to his dressing table.
Her fingertips danced over everything on it, from the lamp to the candles, to the stack of books. She leaned forwards, cocked her head to one side, and ran her fingers down the spines. The action shifted her black wings, causing the longest feathers of the right one to graze the floor.
She straightened and turned back to face him. “I felt you suffering again and was unable to ignore it, even though I know I should have this time.â€
Snow frowned. “You were here with me… before. It was you.â€
She nodded and walked towards him, her steps so light even he couldn’t hear them. She twirled her black hair around the fingers of her left hand and smiled at him. It hit him square in the chest and knocked the wind out of him.
“If you were here… then you know why my bed is the way that it is, and why I must chain myself. So why did you ask?†He growled the question, growing tired of her cryptic behaviour.
“I was curious to know what you would tell me.†She wrapped her small hands around one of the steel posts at the end of his bed and leaned her shoulder against it.
Snow didn’t like that she had seen him in the throes of his bloodlust, but he was beginning to share her sense of curiosity. “Why are you here… and why did you sing to me?â€
A pretty blush coloured her flawless pale cheeks. “You remember?â€
Wasn’t he supposed to have remembered? Evidently, she hadn’t expected him to recall that someone had been in his room, singing him to sleep, speaking to him in a language that hadn’t left his lips in close to one thousand years before he had awoken to find Antoine watching over him.
Snow nodded.
She didn’t tell him why she was here. She pushed away from the post and twirled so her back was to him, the white layers of her dress spinning outwards to reveal the outline of her shapely legs beneath. Snow barely bit back the growl that rumbled up his throat at the sight of her long slender legs.
Her black wings shifted and stretched, almost spanning his room before settling against her back again.
“I do not enjoy your choice of decor,†she said in a bright tone and looked over her shoulder, past her black wing to him. “It is morbid. Mortals would call it depressing.â€
Snow folded his arms across his chest. “You know that I am not mortal, and I feel this decor suits me and this place.â€
He smiled slowly. Desire to make her blush again so he could see it shot through him.
“You must know the sort of business I run with the others here, and the sort of creature I am.â€
“I do not care.†She twirled to face him, affording him another glimpse of long legs that would have made him blush if he hadn’t been in perfect control of himself.
“Again, female, why are you here?†If she didn’t answer this time, he might leave the bed, grab her shoulders and shake the answer out of her. Continue reading

Payne could feel the questions bubbling inside her and he knew that she wouldn’t be able to resist voicing them forever. He wanted her to. She was beautiful, bewitching, and he couldn’t deny that he was attracted to her, but whenever she mentioned his incubus side, he wanted to leave and forget helping Andreu and Chica.
He could be their only hope though. Elissa could be their only hope.
They reached the edge of the woods and she paused and faced him.
“Have you ever submitted to someone?â€
Payne froze and blinked hard. He had to have heard his petite, enchanting Elissa wrong. She couldn’t have just asked what he thought she had. The dark colouring on her cheeks said that she had and was regretting it.
He forced a shrug. “Once or twice.â€
His stomach clenched. He hoped that answer would satisfy her.
The frown on her face said it hadn’t. “I don’t believe you’ve ever really submitted to someone. It isn’t in your nature. That’s part of your problem… neither side of you can submit. Both sides crave control too much. The incubus and the vampire.â€
Payne couldn’t deny that and he didn’t like that she had seen it in him so quickly after meeting him. His version of submission had been letting women go on top. Hers seemed far more threatening, and alluring. Surrendering complete control to a woman? The very thought had him as hard as steel in his jeans but at the same time made him want to flee.
She swallowed, her sexy throat working overtime, and braved a step towards him. Her eyes were dark in the low light but he didn’t miss the challenge they issued.
“Submit to me,†she said and he almost choked, barely stopped himself from making a scene that would only render him weak in her eyes, stripping him of his masculinity. Continue reading

Teaseday – Claimed by a Demon King (Eternal Mates Paranormal Romance Series Book 2) – Excerpt
Today’s tease comes from the book Claimed by a Demon King, which is the second book in my popular Eternal Mates romance series. Read on for this Tuesday’s tease…
“Is there a dress code for tonight?†Sable looked at the beautiful gown and then Loren’s fine clothing resting over the chair.
She hadn’t brought anything for this sort of situation and she doubted her team had either. All of her clothes were fit for battle and nothing else. Even if she had known in advance about the feast, it wouldn’t have helped. She didn’t own anything as fine as the dress Loren held. She didn’t own a dress period.
“I really don’t want to offend Thorne,†she ignored the teasing look Olivia slid her way, “but I know all of my team brought only battle clothes with them.â€
“That will not be a problem.†Loren laid the dress down on top of his clothing and turned to her. “You represent your team so only you will be seated at the main table with the other commanding officers. Thorne will not mind if your subordinates are dressed plainly.â€
In other words, he would mind if she was.
Sable refused to panic about this. “Maybe there’s a demon female I can borrow a dress from.â€
“That won’t be possible,†Olivia said, snatching her focus. “There are no demon females.â€
She gasped. “Who were those women then?â€
“Witches… a vampire or two. I believe there was even a shifter amongst them,†Loren replied and Sable’s gaze darted back to him.
“Demons don’t have females?†How had she not known that?
“No,†Olivia said for him and why hadn’t her friend told her about this? “The Devil put some sort of curse on seven demon species when they seized these lands to make their own realms… I guess he was pissed because he wiped out all the women and made it so the men would have to seek out their fated one. Now, demons can only mate with their fated females. The kicker is that most of them are mortal… and demons stick out like sore thumbs in our world.â€
Mortal.
Sable’s pulse kicked up a notch. “How do they know their female?â€
“They dream of her after meeting her.†Loren’s smile turned wicked and she didn’t like the glint in his eyes.
Cold slithered through her even as her cheeks began to heat.
“You’re talking… naughty… dreams.†Could she sound any more innocent and nervous?
He nodded. “Very, very naughty.â€
“Loren,†Olivia chided and crossed the room to him. Sable thanked her for backing her up until her friend turned to her, forming an allied front with Loren, her smile just as wicked as his was. “You’re not having naughty dreams of Thorne are you, Sable?†Continue reading

Snippet Saturday is brought to you today by my paranormal romance book Her Guardian Angel, which is the fourth book in my popular Her Angel romance series. Read on for this Saturday’s snippet…
It was the location that alerted Marcus to the fact that this wasn’t his world.
A golden sunset filled the sky directly before him, the sun slowly sinking into the infinite ocean, its light rippling on the water and sparkling like diamonds. The soft sound of waves gently breaking against the pristine white sandy shore filled the silence along with the rustling of the swaying palm trees in the light refreshing breeze that came from the sea, carrying a salty tang and her fragrance.
Amelia.
She sat on a chipped white metal pole that created a railing along the seafront, separating the sun-bleached wooden boardwalk from the sand, her back to him and shoulder-length dark hair dancing as the breeze caught it.
The sound of the ocean and the warm breeze soothed away the anger he felt over Taylor and Einar’s trick on him. They had sent him into Amelia’s inner world rather than to his own. He would have a word with his old friend when he woke. This wasn’t allowing things to progress naturally at all. This was matchmaking.
Marcus walked across the boardwalk to Amelia and leaned his elbows on the metal railing that ran at waist height to him. Amelia didn’t look down at him. She continued to stare into the distance, her skin glowing in the warm light of sunset and her hair threaded with golden highlights. Marcus drank his fill of her beauty, taking his time to put her face to memory as it looked in this moment. A slight smile played on her lips, shining in her eyes, and he knew without asking that she was happy here.
It was definitely her world.
But it wasn’t her happiness that gave it away.
He hated sand.
It got in his feathers.
He looked down at himself and shook his head when he saw that he was only wearing a pair of loose black swimming shorts. That wasn’t going to happen either. Water was a pain to get out of his feathers, worse than sand, and for some reason his wings were out and he couldn’t convince them to go away.
Were they out because Amelia wanted to see him this way? This was her world which meant that in part she was controlling it, and controlling him too.
When he turned to ask her about his wings and whether she wanted to see them, his gaze caught on the skimpy black bikini top she wore. He stared unabashed at the flimsy triangles of material barely covering her breasts, his stomach tightening and temperature rising, and then slowly lowered his eyes to her hips. A short black near-see-through strip of material covered her from waist to just past her backside, tied on her hip closest to him. The light fabric fluttered in the breeze, revealing her creamy slender thigh.
“It’s peaceful here,†she said, distant sounding. “Am I dreaming?â€
Marcus forced his focus back up to her face. “I do not think so. We are both awake. Taylor can make a world in which we can hide but I am not sure how long it can last.â€
“I’m scared, Marcus,†she whispered and her grey eyes finally came to meet his.
“Of me?†He wasn’t sure why he said it. The gnawing feeling that she feared him now had lingered at the back of his mind since he had rescued her from the Hell’s angels and revealed his true self to her, but he hadn’t intended to say anything about it. Her look instantly softened, warming again, and she smiled. Continue reading

“You shouldn’t touch me.â€
Eve frowned at those low spoken words. “Why not?â€
He turned his head slightly towards her, enough that she could see he had his eyes closed, his eyebrows drawn down above them. His shoulders tensed as she pulled a long shard out of his side and she mumbled an apology.
“Because it isn’t right,†he said and she wished he would tell her straight and stop dancing around the reason.
She pulled another piece of metal out, her actions rougher this time, her irritation getting the better of her. He hissed as he sucked in a breath and blood trickled down his back.
“Sorry,†Eve said, immediately regretting what she had done. Guilt swept through her and on its heels came an instinct she fought hard to deny.
She would not lick the blood or seal the wound for him.
She grabbed some tissue and pressed it to the wound instead, and closed her eyes, shutting out the sight of all the blood on his back. She struggled against her instincts, desperate to shut out the voice that tempted her into running her tongue over Tor’s back, capturing every stray drop of his strong blood. She wanted it. She needed it.
She had to take it.
Tor wouldn’t argue.
He wouldn’t deny her. He would let her crawl up his magnificent body and sink her fangs into his throat, drinking deep of his blood. He would enjoy it.
Welcome it.
Eve turned away and shoved her palms against the cool wall tiles as her head spun, the sudden onslaught of dizziness threatening to sweep the ground out from under her and take her down to her knees.
Tor’s strong hand caught her upper arm. “Eve?†Continue reading

Snippet Saturday – Her Demonic Angel (Her Angel Romance Series Book 5) – Excerpt
Snippet Saturday is brought to you today by my paranormal romance book Her Demonic Angel, which is the fifth book in my popular Her Angel romance series. Read on for this Saturday’s snippet…
It was the Devil who took her.
Erin was sure of it.
It was the Devil who had come in the dead of night, entering the bedroom of her loft apartment like black mist to take her as she slept.
And he wasn’t red all over or had hooves and horns like in movies or fables.
He was immense, with skin as black as coal, eyes that shone red like car brake lights and the wings of a dragon curling from his back.
He had brought her here to a fiery, broken and inhospitable land where perpetual tormented screams chased every shred of calm and peace from her soul and the air was so thick with the stomach-turning stench of sulphur that she couldn’t breathe.
It was Hell.
At first, Erin had thought the whole event was a vivid and disturbing nightmare, worse than any she had experienced before, but she had hurt herself on one of the shards of black rock that formed the floor and the three walls of her cell and she hadn’t woken.
And then they had hurt her too.
The Devil had come alone at first, entering her cell to glare at her in silence and ignore her pleas to tell him what he wanted with her. Not a word had left his wide black lips. The only time she had gained a response from him was the one instance she had felt brave enough to stand up to him and had tried to force him to speak. Then, he had bared sharp crimson teeth at her and hissed. She had fallen on her backside trying to escape him, afraid that he would attack her, and had cut her palms and scraped the soles of her bare feet as she had crab-crawled away from him.
Now, he no longer came alone.
Now, she no longer feared him. Continue reading

Vivek trailed behind Sophis as she continued down the incline to the river, his gaze scanning the parked cars that lined the residential street. The lights hanging above the middle of the road were brighter here, punctuating the darkness at intervals and even reaching the pavement. A breeze swept up from the river, pungent with the scent of the water, but carrying a familiar undertone.
A vampire hunter he knew well.
Aleksis Romanov.
When had he returned to Saint Petersburg?
Vivek focused all his senses on Sophis, using the intensity of them to silently signal her. She slowed to a halt and looked back over her shoulder at him. He motioned for her to remain there and swept his senses out again. The man was on the move and not far from them. Vivek studied his surroundings, looking for possible avenues of escape or hiding places. Few and far between. The river was barely two hundred metres away and the edge of the road that lined it was even closer still. If Aleksis had his wits about him, he would be aware of them the moment he crossed the road to continue along the river. Even with their preternatural speed, they wouldn’t reach the crossroads behind them before Aleksis came into view.
Vivek caught Sophis’s arm and ran down the sloping street with her, heading towards the hunter. His senses screamed a warning at him but he kept running, silent and fast, aiming for the rear of a white van less than one hundred metres from the intersection.
Sophis gasped behind him as the dark haired man appeared in view at the bottom of the road, his hands tucked into the front pockets of his thick black wool coat and the upturned collar obscuring the lower half of his face. Vivek tugged her to one side, behind the large parked van, and pressed her against the doors. He held her there, his senses locked on the vampire hunter, monitoring him in case he had spotted them. The feel of Sophis against him, her chest rising and falling with her rapid breathing, threatened to bring back their fight and how intoxicating it had felt to have her pinned beneath him. He shoved the feelings away, locking them out of his mind along with his earlier epiphany about why he wanted Sophis off the guard, and forced himself to remain focused on the vampire hunter. The hotel room smelled musty. Or that might be her. Her clothes were soaked and sticking to her skin. Tor reappeared from the bathroom and handed her a white towel robe. Eve thanked him with a smile that fell away when he turned his back on her and the scent of his blood grew stronger, thicker in the air, a tangy coppery smell that called to her.
“You’re injured.†She took a step towards him without thinking and he swung back to face her.
“It’s nothing. Just a little shrapnel.†He reached over behind him and tugged his ruined black sweatshirt off over his head. A brief tantalising flash of toned stomach muscles caught her breath in her throat before his black t-shirt fell back down to cover them. He tossed the sweatshirt and nodded towards her. “Change into that. It will make you feel better.â€
Eve looked down at the robe she clutched, shame spreading through her. At times like this, she was almost glad she was a vampire and couldn’t blush. It wasn’t the thought of changing in front of Tor that would have had her cheeks heating. It was how pathetic she had been back at the airport.
She had lost it.
It was all coming back to her now in startling colour and detail. She had fallen apart while Tor had been the picture of calm and efficiency, his reactions incredible as he had swept her up against his hard, powerful body and sheltered her from the blast. If he hadn’t been there, she would have been toast.
Then, he had carried her like some knight in shining armour into the safety of the darkness and had tended to her, and all the while she had mumbled stupid stuff like a damsel in distress. She groaned internally at the way she had presented herself. When piled on top of how she had been when Tor had swept into the club and quickly dispatched her attackers for her, it made her want to bury her head in the robe and never come out again.
No doubt Tor thought she was one of those women who needed constant protection, a man on hand to do her battles for her and keep her safe.
She had kept herself safe for twenty-five years without the help of a man.
Death had torn apart the woman she had been, stripping away her strength, throwing her into turmoil. She had become the sort of weak and pathetic woman that had annoyed her when she had been a hunter.
Eve resisted sagging onto the bed and burrowing into the white robe.
She really had to man up.
Tor had offered her the shot at revenge she wanted and she was going to take it.
She was going to pull herself together and show him that she was a hunter born and bred, just as he was.
Eve turned her back on him, set the towel down on the double bed in front of her, and stripped off her jacket. When she pulled her t-shirt up, revealing her back, Tor uttered something in his foreign tongue. She shivered as his gaze ran down her spine, heating her skin, and frowned as his eyes left her. A chivalrous man? She hadn’t figured him for that type.
His boots shuffled on the taupe carpet and she continued to remove her wet things. She kicked her own boots off, struggled to get her jeans down her legs, and even pulled off her socks. She left her underwear on. A flimsy piece of protection she couldn’t quite bring herself to shed, not even when she was certain that he had turned his back to give her some privacy.
Eve donned the white robe, tied the belt around her waist and moved to face Tor. Continue reading

Today’s tease comes from the paranormal romance book Hunger, which is book 8 in my popular Vampires Realm romance series. Read on for this Tuesday’s tease…
Eve cast him a pained look and turned her back on him. She wrapped her arms around herself again and shook her head. She looked smaller like that. More vulnerable.
It was strange for him, but Tor found himself drawn to stepping closer to her and gently asking, “Don’t you want to see your sister?â€
“I do,†she said and sighed. “I do want to see her… but I don’t know how she’ll react to seeing me again. She thought I was dead. It’s been five years, Tor.â€
The sound of his name rolling softly off her tongue shocked him almost as much as the news that she had turned five years ago and hadn’t seen her sister in that time. He hadn’t known, but now that he did, he understood her reluctance to jump on a plane and meet her sister again.
It wasn’t the only reason behind her reluctance though.
He could see the cold hunger in her again as she turned to face him and her dark eyes locked with his. She hid it well, but it was there, layered with purpose and determination, and a drive that seemed familiar to him.
On top of that burning need that drove her ever onwards was one that held her back.
The need to avoid accepting what she had become at all costs. At the Vehemens mansion, she wouldn’t be able to hide from it any longer. The hunter would have to face the truth. She had become a vampire. She had become the very creature she once hunted and loathed.
Movement out of the corner of his eye drew his attention to the front of the hangar. The stewardess and co-pilot placed their long dark coats over their heads to shield them from the downpour and rushed across the small strip of tarmac to the plane.
The jet’s staff made it on board.
Thunder rumbled in the distance.
Not the distance.
Not thunder.
His senses focused and everything slowed to a crawl.
A violent growl filled the silence, beginning in the belly of the jet, and grew in volume to a deadly roar. Brilliant blinding light drove the darkness back, orange and white flares stinging his eyes.
Tor reacted on instinct to the split-second warning, turning away from the coming blast. Continue reading
