“I actually really liked how Payne and Elissa’s relationship developed. They kind of started off with a love/hate type thing, but it quickly morphed into a much deeper feeling. The more they spent time together, the harder it was to deny that there was something more between them. Eventually, it wasn’t just a mission between two strangers, it was a fight for their lives and their love. I was completely enthralled with them and how deep their feelings were for each other. The protectiveness of Payne, and the compassion of Elissa made for a love so true, it was beautiful to see such a damaged creature be healed. I seriously need to go back and read the rest of this series. This installment was simply amazing!”
