A Watchman of the Validus bloodline, Winter has protected his lord for the past one thousand years, slowly rising through the ranks until gaining the position of Commander of the Watchmen. He is a vampire devoted to his bloodline and his duty, but beneath his cold exterior is a warm heart that has been captured by a quiet mortal female who passes the mansion at night from time to time when he is assigned to guard the gate.
Never one to desire anything, Winter struggled with his feelings for the female and his need to turn her and make her into a vampire like him, and by the time he found the courage to ask his lord for permission, it was too late and she had been bitten by a werewolf. The laws of his kind state that relationships between a vampire and a werewolf are illegal, the penalty death, but not the law or his duty will stand between him and his love.
