Once an innocent mortal who lived in the village near to the Validus bloodline's mansion outside St Petersburg, Nika lived a simple quiet life until she was attacked by Willem of the local werewolf pack. That same night, the man she had been falling for, one of the guards of the mansion, rescued her but not before she had been bitten and had begun the transformation into a werewolf.
Nika came through her transition a stronger woman, one who will fight to be with the man that she loves, regardless of the laws that forbid their relationship. She's courageous and unswerving in her devotion to her new family, and in her love for Winter, her vampire lover.
