Eternal Mates is heading into KindleUnlimited

A little annoucement about my Eternal Mates series. It’s taking the leap into KindleUnlimited from August 15th, which means if you read on another platform like Apple Books, Kobo, Google, Barnes & Noble Nook and Smashwords, you’ll have until August 15th to catch up on the series.

You can grab any ebooks you’re missing at those stores via the series page on my website: https://www.felicityheaton.com/eternal-mates-paranormal-romance-series.php

I know you probably have a few questions, so I’m going to do my best to guess them and answer them here, but you can always post a question you have in the comments section and I’ll do my very best to answer it!

Why are you doing this to me?

It’s not personal. I’ve been wanting to experiment with KindleUnlimited for a couple of years now, but always hesitated because I’ve tried it in the past and didn’t do so well. Recently I was thinking about it again because of the economic crisis that is affecting the world and I know many readers are struggling to fuel their addiction for books and also their car right now, so I thought it would be a good time to try having some of my books in KindleUnlimited again as more and more readers are relying upon libraries and subscription services like KU to get their reading fix and escape reality for a while.

In the past, I’ve tried KU with smaller series–generally ones that aren’t selling well in the first place… and they haven’t done well. Which I really shouldn’t have found surprising. This time, I decided I needed to take another approach. I needed to take one of my popular series and try KU with that, and they don’t come more popular than my Eternal Mates series.

I’ll admit right now that I don’t like the exclusivity clause Amazon put into KU, as I do genuinely prefer to reach audiences on other retailers and avenues too, but I also really want to satisfy my curiosity about KU and whether I can do well there with a series that already sells.

Is this a permanent move?

No. Yes. Who knows? All I can say is that right now I’m committed to two terms in KindleUnlimited for the Eternal Mates series. That’s 180 days in total, or 6 months. If things don’t work out for me, then I’ll pull the series and get it back up on all retailers.

Can I still purchase ebooks I’m missing after August 15th?

Yes. The Eternal Mates series will still be available to buy on Amazon as well as read with a KindleUnlimited subscription.

What about print and audiobooks?

Print and audiobooks will continue to be available everywhere they normally are. There’s no restrictions on where I can post those while the series is in KindleUnlimited.

What about future releases in the series?

I’m committed to bringing this series to EVERYONE who wants to continue reading it after book 21. I love my readers on Apple, Kobo, Nook, Google, Smashwords and other stores, and I want to keep you guys happy.

Right now, I have no planned Eternal Mates series releases within the next 6 months as I’m swapping over to finishing the Guardians of Hades series. If I do write a new book for the Eternal Mates series while the series is in KU, I will do a WIDE PRE-ORDER AND RELEASE WEEK. This means the book will be up on Apple, Google, Nook and Kobo for pre-order and the first week after it comes out, giving you plenty of time to add it to your collection.

After that first week, the book will come down from those stores and on Amazon it will go into KU to join the rest of the series.

I hope that answers your questions, but if I missed something, then hit the comments section.
