But she met him halfway as he leaned closer and he knew it was a lie.<\/p>\n

Slowly, Alex kissed her.\u00c2\u00a0 He\u00e2\u20ac\u2122d meant to be quick.\u00c2\u00a0 A small sample and then walk away.\u00c2\u00a0 But lips and breath and tongue combined to shut down his brain.\u00c2\u00a0 Her taste was like a drug that spread rapidly through his system.\u00c2\u00a0 Suddenly, not touching her everywhere seemed like the worst choice he could make.<\/p>\n

He pulled back and stared into her eyes.\u00c2\u00a0 She looked startled and aroused, wary but very willing.\u00c2\u00a0 She listed forward, her face turned up, her hands warm on his bare chest and Alex couldn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t have denied what he wanted any more than he could turn back time.<\/p>\n

In an instant, the decision was made.<\/p>\n

Had been since he\u00e2\u20ac\u2122d first held her in the woods.\u00c2\u00a0 Maybe everything he\u00e2\u20ac\u2122d done since that moment had been a way to get to here.\u00c2\u00a0 With her.<\/p>\n

His forehead touched hers, noses aligned as he stilled, letting her breath become his, giving it back with his own.\u00c2\u00a0 So intimate, the sharing.\u00c2\u00a0 Exotic, unexpected, addicting.\u00c2\u00a0 Thunder and lightning that struck at ancestral instincts that he didn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t know he possessed.\u00c2\u00a0 She pressed against him, his briefs a thin barrier to the hardness straining to be released.\u00c2\u00a0 Every part of him tuned in to her actions, reactions, the way they spurred his own.<\/p>\n

She seemed to be seeking something.\u00c2\u00a0 A touch?\u00c2\u00a0 A word?\u00c2\u00a0 He wanted to give it to her, whatever it was, and the thought pulled him back.\u00c2\u00a0 Her eyes glittered bright blue and diamond-like from between her thick lashes.\u00c2\u00a0 Her hair was messed up, her cheeks chilled, but she felt like a flame in his hands.\u00c2\u00a0 Fluid. Dangerous.<\/p>\n

Make her choose you\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6<\/i><\/p>\n

The thought felt ancient, a rumbling drum down a sacred mountain.\u00c2\u00a0 It urged him to coax, to crowd, to claim<\/i>.<\/p>\n

He tried to tell himself he didn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t want that.\u00c2\u00a0 But his body had ceased to listen to his brain.<\/p>\n
