Nicolae fled Europe around a century ago after escaping the compound of the Tenebrae vampire bloodline, losing his whole pack in the process. Now, in the wilds of Canada, he comes across the last thing he ever expected to see in his remote territory–a vampire from Europe. He finds her injured and dying, attacked by hunters, and though he wants to leave her to die, he can’t bring himself to turn his back on her. He takes her to his home and tends to her, hoping to learn more about this mysterious woman and the hunters.<\/p>\n
